Last Thursday, Amazon announced that their buyers are now buying more e-books for the kindle, than their print books. Since people have been using technology more, this would naturally happen but this still shocked Amazon. Amazon released its Kindle in November of 2007. Although this only applies to all the books and e-books sold on Amazon, they are shocked that the sales have raised so quickly.

Do Now 5/16/11

On my computer, I keep related photos, music and documents in separate folders. School work such as essays and projects would be kept in the "School documents" folder. Pictures and videos are stored in the media folder but certain photos are organized according to events such as holidays or vacations. Keeping my files organized helps me find my saved my files easier and quicker. I use a hierarchal system on my computer. A tag is non-hierarchal label or keyword. Social bookmarking is a way for internet users to tag a website and save it on the web for later. These two terms are important in the digital age because its an easier way to save your favorite websites and also find other things you might be interested in.

Podcasting

1. A podcast is a pre-recorded audio program that's posted to a website and is made available for download so people can listen to them on personal computers or mobile devices. People create podcasts to promote their business,to make money or to share their ideas and beliefs. I personally do not have any experience with podcasting. Some Tools such as Audacity, a software to to record your own audio file, can really be helpful in creating a podcast. I would create a podcast for current things in fashion and celebrity gossip.

During my spring break, I am going to Busch Gardens in Virginia with family and a couple of friends. I'll be spending most of my time there. When I get back, I plan on going shopping. The rest of the week, I'll just hangout with friends and enjoy what's left of spring break. (:
